Duane & Bonnie Gartzke are the current owners of Gartzke's Greenhouse located in Blue Earth, Minnesota. The original greenhouse, dating back to 1933, was built by Nels Pederson, one of three brothers who came to America from Denmark. Duane developed his "green thumbs" when his parents bought the original greenhouse in 1957. Continuing the tradition, Duane and his wife Bonnie bought the greenhouse in 1973 where it grew to its current size. Gartzke's Greenhouse now includes seven greenhouses, offering over 50 varieties of perennials and over 20 varieties of Clematis. Growing several special varieties on site, Gartzke's Greenhouse offers the freshest flowers and plants in the area!
